Scholarships

1. TaiwanICDF Scholarship    (http://www.icdf.org.tw/ct.asp?xItem=12505&CtNode=30316&mp=2)

 Taiwan International Cooperation Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) initiated International Higher Education Scholarship Program in 1998. The program provides full financial support for foreign students to study in Taiwan. The TaiwanICDF scholarship includes is itemized as follows:
1. Airfare (a round trip ticket)
2. Housing
3. Tuition fees & Credit fees
4. Insurance
5. Book costs
6. Monthly stipend (NT$12,000 for undergraduate student, and NT$15,000 for postgraduate student)

2. Taiwan Scholarship :  (https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/engindex.html )

In 2004, four government agencies of Taiwan, the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and National Science Council of the Executive Yuan (NSC), jointly established the Taiwan Scholarship Program to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan. The application period is from February 1 to March 31, each year, unless individual Taiwan Representative Offices specify otherwise. 3. NTUNHS Scholarship: 

In an effort to encourage distinguished international students to study in Taiwan, as well as to reduce their financial burden during their period of study, NTUNHS has offered International Scholarship. The scope of the scholarship are:

1. New students: Applicants who obtain the qualification of admission to NTUNHS will have a waiver to all tuition and credit fees for the first academic year.

2. Senior students: Students whose academic recordso the current acadmic year achieved the requirement of NTUNHS scholarship, can apply a waiver to all tuition and credit fees for the next academic year. .

3. Period of scholarship: Undergraduate students, at most, may continuously receive scholarship for 4 years and postgraduate students, at most, may continuously receive scholarship for 3 years.

4. NTUNHS Support Funds:  

International degree students, who have officially registered, not received a written reprimand or more severe penalty from NTUNHS as a result of misconduct, and fulfilled one of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
 
1. For undergraduate students who have completed a period of one academic year of study, with at least 9 credits per semester, and earned a 80% on average score from the last two semesters. Or above on a GPA of 2.7, if the student did not enter school for one academic year.


2. For graduate students who have completed a period of one academic year of study, with at least one course per semester, and earned a 80% or above on a percentage scale from the last two registered semestersñ for those with less than one academic year of study, the GPA will be calculated based on the previous single semester. Or above on a GPA of 2.7, if the student did not enter school for one academic year.

 

3. Support Fund awardees may not receive any other scholarships sponsored by the Ministries of Taiwan’s government such as the Taiwan Scholarship, TaiwanICDF Scholarship, or any other full scholarship (A full scholarship meaning that the amount of the scholarship or stipend is greater than or equal to NTD10,000 per month).
