NTUNHS Chinese Complementary Therapy Summer Program 2018
 

Explore the Traditional Chinese Medicine of Formosa & Enjoy a Study Abroad Experience in Taiwan


I. Introduction
National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences opens Complementary Therapy Summer Program every summer for international students from sister schools abroad and individuals with interest to TCM and Taiwan culture. The Complementary Therapy Summer Program provides a special opportunity for students to focus on learning traditional Chinese medicine and complementary therapies through lectures, hands-on practices and hospital visits. Moreover, besides TCM classes, participants of the program can also experience different cultures and the beauty of Taiwan.

 

II. Course Plan
1. Applicants:Individuals or Groups from NTUNHS sister or affiliated schools, aged 18 and above.
2. Faculty:Courses are provided by professional TCM teaching faculty and taught in English.
3. Teaching Method: Lecture, hands-on practice, clinical visits   
4. Location: National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences
No.365, Ming-te Rd., Peitou District, Taipei City 112, Taiwan, R.O.C. (nearby MRT Shipai Station)
5. Class Sizes:maximum 40 students per class
6. Course Duration:
* Session 1:2018/07/09(Monday) ~ 2018/07/20 (Fri)
   (Arrival: July 9, 2018; Departure: July 20, 2018)

 

Session 1 plus 1-week hospital observation:2018/07/02(Monday) ~ 2018/07/20 (Fri)
   (Arrival: July 1, 2018; Departure: July 20, 2018)


* Session 2:2018/07/23 (Monday) ~ 2018/08/03 (Fri)
  (Arrival: July 23, 2018; Departure: August 03, 2018)


* Session 2 plus 1-week hospital observation:2018/07/23 (Monday) ~ 2018/08/10 (Fri)
  (Arrival: July 23, 2017; Departure: August 10, 2018)


7. Culture Tour :
Besides complementary therapy classes, the program’s school-buddies will arrange city tour or sightseeing activities as an option, but the participants have to cover the derivative fee by themselves.

IV. Awarding
*The participants who have completed all courses of this program will be awarded a certificate from NTUNHS.
 

V. Payment
For 3-week course: US$1,200
INCLUDES: registration fee, tuition, class materials, hospital observation, airport pick-up, transportation for outdoor lectures, on-campus dormitory, air condition card (US$15 per room)

For 2-week course: US$1,000
INCLUDES: registration fee, tuition, class materials, airport pick-up, transportation for outdoor lectures, on-campus dormitory, air condition card (US$15 per room)
 

VI. Special Discount (each student is entitled to one discount only)
Option I :Individual Applicants from NTUNHS sister schools or faculty 
※Course Fee  US$1,200  per person (3-week course)/ US$1,000 per person (2-week course)
Option II :Group Students recommended by NTUNHS sister schools or faculty with NO student exchange program proposed.  
※Course Fee US$1000 per person (3-week course)/ US$8,00 per person (2-week course)
Option III :Group students recommended by NTUNHS sister schools or faculty with student exchange program proposed.   
※ Depending on the terms of agreement.    
 

VII. On-campus Dormitory Information
Room Type: 4 persons per room (4 single loft beds, include bedding, pillow)
