2012 Admission Notice for International Students

International Programs (taught in English):

International Nursing Master of Science Program :

The curriculum aims to enhance a student's knowledge and skills in professional role development, application of theory as a foundation for practice, and utilization of research to enhance one’s knowledge about health, illness, healthcare and nursing issues. By completing this program, students need a minimum of 30 credits for least duration of 2 years. Courses include Nursing theory, Advanced Bio-Statistics, Research Methodology, Advanced Health Assessment, Transcultural Health Nursing I, Transcultural Health Nursing II, Transcultural Nursing Field Experience, Independent Study, and Thesis / Project. All courses are engaged in English, and students have opportunities to take some courses with native Taiwanese students. Students will earn the “Master of Science (major in nursing)” degree from the Graduate Institute of School of Nursing after the two-year program is successfully completed.

International Health and Nursing Administration Undergraduate Program:

The program is provided by the Department of Health Care Management at NTUNHS, aiming to provide comprehensive training courses concerning managerial professional development on health and nursing administration. This program also set its focus on broadening students’ horizons of medical knowledge and skill of hospital management, and on cultivating students’ research capacity and leadership in health care and nursing program. With qualified health and nursing administration specialists, we have accumulated abundant teaching experience and distinguished research accomplishment which can fulfill your needs of being a health and nursing administrative professional. The students will obtain the “Bachelor of Science (BS)” degree from the Department of Health Care Management after the four-year program (including a non-hands-on hospital practicum) is successfully completed.

Starting from spring semester 2012, International Affairs Division will assign Project Manager of International Health and Nursing Administration Undergraduate Program, Miss Michelle Lo, to work at Ximen Campus on Thursdays in order to assist the international students in solving problems. We will adjust the Michelle’s working schedule on Ximen campus depending on the situation.



In Jan 5, the foreign student affairs office held a competition about writing spring festival couplets for twenty foreign students to celebrate the chinese new year.  The students tried to wrote “新年快樂”, “心想事成”,and “平安富貴”. The judges are three their chinese teachers. The student David won champion in this competition. They also ate some Chinese dessert, and learned some propitious sentences. For them, this is a good experience to learn the traditional culture and chinese new year.
